Just
who the heck is this Ken Kidd, anyway? And, why have I invited him of all
people to introduce you to the charms (and tribulations) of the Village
and of New York City?
Ken Kidd. That staccato, alliterative name pretty much says it all: playful raconteur, witty bon vivant, man-about-town, impudent, insouciant free spirit. In sum, the most worldly expert that no one's ever heard of.
From a tender age growing up in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, Ken Kidd was constantly leaving the yard when told not to do so. He really left the yard exactly 25 years ago when he made a break for the Big Apple. (This is pretty amazing since he only admits to being 28 years old.)
Ken Kidd has worked with every Justice of the United States Supreme Court, Prime Minister Tony Blair and Cherie Blair, the entire Court of the European Union, Romano Prodi, Valery Giscard d'Estaing, Jospain, President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, President Jimmy Carter, and countless other captains of industry and leaders in the entertainment field who visited NYU School of Law. Over the course of that time, Ken Kidd has utilized his insatiable curiosity to see and do as many different things, try as many different kinds of food, imbibe in as many varieties of cocktails and generally snoop around New York as much as is humanly possible. Spotting the pallid, haggard appearance that this debauchery gave to him, I approached Ken Kidd to share the errors of his ways with you.
Hence, we present the Totally Subjective Guide to New York City. Oh, and some professors and administrators have added their two cents too.
