New York University School of Law was the first American law school to initiate a clerkship program with the International Court of Justice in 2000. Now maintained under the auspices of the Hauser Global Law School Program, this clerkship is an opportunity to work for nine months in The Hague, and is awarded to few of the most outstanding legal scholars worldwide. Each year, NYU School of Law selects current students or alumni based on their applications to receive the professional honor.
NYU School of Law has sponsored more than 20 of our graduates to work as clerks at the International Court of Justice in recent years. Below you will find links relating to the current clerk and a few of the former clerks. Along with their biographies is a short journal of their experiences during the clerkship which will provide you with some information pertaining to aspects of the nine months they spent in The Hague.
