
The J.S.D. Committee
The J.S.D. Committee is appointed by the Dean of the Law School to perform the
following functions: offer admission to applicants to the J.S.D. program; approve
the passage of students to J.S.D. candidacy after the first year; consider
requests for exceptions to policy; award the J.S.D. degree.
The Graduate Divison
The J.S.D. Program falls within the responsibility of the administrators of the Hauser Global Law School Program, both in the admission process and
academic affairs during matriculation and through graduation. The Office of Graduate Affairs is responsible for ensuring that
students and candidates have completed their degree requirements in a timely
fashion, including registration for courses. The Office of Graduate
Affairs will process the awarding of the J.S.D. degree.
J.S.D. Faculty Director
The Faculty Director chairs the J.S.D. Committee. The Faculty Director is
responsible for overseeing the J.S.D. Forum, assists students with identifying
dissertation advisors and committee members, provides academic advice to
all students and candidates in the program, and offers help with the academic job
search.
