Graduate Programs Online Application
(LL.M. and J.S.D.)
This application is for the LL.M. and J.S.D. degrees; applicants to these programs must apply online.
We prefer that the application fee be paid online using either an American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa credit card. However, if you are unable to pay your application fee online, you may mail your fee with the Payment Identification Form (accessible from the online application) using an international money order, or check drawn on a U.S. bank, payable to New York University in U.S. dollars. Do not send cash or traveler's checks.
Please do not print and mail your online application or any materials submitted electronically.
If you have a technical question regarding the NYU School of Law Online Application, please feel free to contact the Office of Graduate Admissions at (212) 998-6060 or law.grad.moreinfo@nyu.edu, and we would be pleased to assist you.
All applicants to the J.S.D. program and the LL.M. programs in New York City and in Singapore must follow the directions in the Admissions Information and Application Instructions. We suggest that you print and consult this document as you complete your application. Please note that you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader to view this document. You may download Acrobat Reader free from Adobe.
The Letter of Recommendation Form and the Law Transcript Request Form may be downloaded and printed.
We strongly prefer that your recommender submit his or her recommendation using the NYU School of Law online recommendation form because this allows faster processing of your application. Applicants submitting recommendations using the online recommendation form do not need to print and mail the Letter of Recommendation Form.
Many applicants with foreign education credentials applying to U.S. law schools use the Law School Admission Council's (LSAC) Credential Assembly Service as it assists with the processing of applications by collecting, authenticating, and distributing credentials in an electronic report to all the schools to which an applicant applies. Applicants using the LSAC Credential Assembly Service do not need to use the Law Transcript Request Form. Because of time constraints, those applicants applying to the LL.M. program in Singapore should not use this service.
Those applicants to the E-LL.M. should refer to our application checklist.
Current NYU School of Law J.D. and LL.M. students should follow the application procedures for current students.
The Fall 2009 online application will be available on this page in September 2008.
The submission of an application constitutes acceptance that the sole and exclusive remedy of resolving any disputes regarding the admissions process for NYU@NUS shall be in a court having jurisdiction located within the County of New York, State of New York, without regard to New York conflict of law provisions.
